Expanding BI backlog: We can’t keep up with the needs of our users through conventional BI tools. They are not able to self-serve answers to their business questions and over-rely on technical practitioners.

AI assistants in BI tools are not production-ready: Copilots and AI bots built into our BI tools make for great demos, but cannot be trusted to provide accurate answers in production.

Multiple places to govern data and BI: Admins are forced to manage users and security policies in our data platform and BI environments, and constantly work to keep them in sync.

Partial lineage: We don’t have full visibility into the data's lineage from our reports and dashboards back to the source data, making it difficult to understand the impact of changes in data and pipelines on downstream analytics and dashboards (and vice versa).

Slow dashboards: We often have to choose between data freshness and/or scalability vs. fast dashboard performance.
