Each Child, Our Future, Ohio’s five-year strategic plan for education, emphasizes the need for Ohio's education system to inspire students to identify paths to future success, with an increased focus on preparing students for meaningful careers. In high school, each child should see the relevance of his or her learning, be exposed to practical, real-world work settings and begin to define his or her future.

The Ohio Department of Education seeks input to help improve the operation of career-focused programs and assistance provided by the Department to implementers of these educational experiences. The feedback gathered from this survey will be used to inform Ohio’s federally-required Perkins V plan development and to gauge the influence of the New Skills for Youth grant work. The Department hopes to gather feedback from a broad range of Ohio stakeholders including educators, parents and caregivers, students, and businesses and community organizations. The following survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

By working together, we can ensure that each child is challenged to discover and learn, prepared to pursue a fulfilling post-high school and empowered to become a resilient, lifelong learner.

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback!
