Question Title

* 7. The program in which you are about to participate has been funded by the Department of Defense and is designed to test new strategies to meet the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) talent and workforce needs of the Ohio Defense Industrial Base (DIB), and to align and accelerate higher education’s efforts to meet manufacturers’ workforce needs while building capacity to prepare incumbent and future workers with the advanced skills that the increasingly high-tech environment demands. Deep partnerships with industry inform specific tactics for engaging new talent as well as accelerating education and training. The following impacts are projected throughout the state:

(1) Promote and support the completion of technical training and certificate programs that strengthen the US Department of Defense and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) science, technology, and manufacturing workforce; and

(2) Develop, support, and increase the transition of students from 2-year institutions and/or Community College STEM programs to STEM degrees at 4-year institutions.

The project will be conducted in established or commonly accepted educational settings, that specifically involves normal educational practices that will not adversely impact students' opportunity to learn required educational content or the assessment of educators who provide instruction. Data will only be collected from administrative sources, survey procedures, or interview procedures. The United States Department of Defense may have access to research records for regulatory oversight activities.

Methods are focused on the assembly of descriptive data, such as participant counts and demographics. Tools will include a reporting template to be completed by participating organizations to provide aggregated and de-identified participant data including enrollment and completion status, and demographics.

Please be assured that any information you provide will be held in the strictest confidence. At no time will your name be reported along with your responses. All data will be reported in a group form only. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time during this study without penalty, and to remove any data that you may have contributed.

I acknowledge that I have been informed of, and understand the nature and the purpose of this study, and I freely consent to participate. I acknowledge that I am at least 18 years of age.
