PROPOSAL OVERVIEW

Partner Organizations are invited to receive resources to enhance existing or new summer programming to be connected with Dallas City of Learning Summer 2019.  The small grant portion of NRI closed on March 15, 2019. You may apply for all the other resources throughout Summer 2019.

Resources include but are not limited to:
  • Small Grants (financial stipends will not exceed $10,000)
  • In Kind Resource Sharing (curriculum, exploration trunks, technology kits);
  • Transportation Resources (assistance booking transportation to Turn Up's & DCOL sponsored events);
  • Professional Development (Summer KICKS conference);
  • Collective Marketing Efforts (social media promotion, lunch & learns);
  • and SMU CORE data evaluation (program roster, survey(s), and program observation)

If selecting only small grant, please select additional resources you would like for your programming if your proposal is not chosen to move to the interview process.

Proposals with the greatest potential for receiving small grant resource will address four main components:
1) demonstrate collaboration with another community partner, provider or organization,
2) target areas within the City of Dallas,
3) help students access high-quality experiences,
4) elevate youth voice in programming.

If you are requesting small grant resources, whether accompanied by other requests or not, you will be asked to participate in a panel interview. Once interviewed, your proposal and presentation will be scored by an outside Advisory Committee using the DCOL Rubric. Resource notifications will be sent in the later part of April and funding installments will begin in May. The submission deadlines are below:

  • March 15, 2019 - Proposal Deadline
  • April 2-3, 2019 - Funding Panel Interviews
  • April 6, 2019 - Decisions Released
