Listening Partner Request Form

Thank you for reaching out to the Ministry Forum Listening Partner Network! We know that ministry can be a unique kind of challenging, and can at times feel very isolating - we're here for you! Please complete the form below so that we can match you with the best Listening Partner for your scenario. We hope to respond to your request within 1-2 business days, but please be aware that it may take up to a week to get you into a session. This is not a crisis response service, and it may take a few days to match you with the availability of the right Listening Partner.

Once you have been matched with a Listening Partner you will receive an email from Ministry Forum with the day and time for your session and connecting you to your partner.

A note about confidentiality - Your conversation with your Listening Partner will be kept confidential. It will not be recorded, and no notes will be kept. The limits of confidentiality are if anyone is being harmed or is at imminent risk of being harmed - especially children or vulnerable people. Your Listening Partner may be asked about the trends of themes they are listening to throughout the year to inform ongoing training and program development, but no specifics or identifying information will be shared.

Sessions with Listening Partners will be 60 minutes long and will take place either on Zoom (virtual video call) or by phone. Listening Partner sessions are meant to be stand alone sessions. Please be aware that this program is not meant to provide ongoing, regular support. If you need more regular support, please feel free to contact us for resources that may be more helpful (heather@ministryforum.ca)

It is possible to ask for Listening Partner Support for a group - maybe the Session, the Board of Managers, a Committee of the church, or a leadership team, or a leadership team. If this is the kind of support that you need, please contact us directly (heather@ministryforum.ca) so that we can help to make special arrangements.
