Federal and State Legislative Priorities Survey 2027-2028

We want to hear from you.

Your input helps shape ASLA’s advocacy at both the federal and state levels. Together with chapters and partners, ASLA works to advance policies that support the profession, strengthen communities, and protect our natural and built environments.

Based on previous survey results, currently ASLA advocates for policies that address professional licensure, healthy communities, water management, parks and recreation, active transportation, and climate resilience and biodiversity.

This short survey will help us:
  • Set ASLA’s federal legislative priorities for the upcoming 120th Congress (2027-2028)
  • Inform chapter-level advocacy and state priorities
Please read each question carefully and note whether it is asking for a state or federal perspective.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your insights—your voice directly informs our work.
