PCP 2020 Community Survey
Hello from the Portland Civic Players! You are receiving this email because you have supported our organization in some way in the past, either through a monetary donation, attending a show, summer theatre involvement, or in some other volunteer capacity. We thank you, and we are grateful! We are also hoping, if you are not already a member, that you will consider joining our membership! We love to welcome new faces and you can choose your level of involvement.
The Portland Civic Players have been part of the Portland community since 1955 and are completely self-supporting. We rely on membership and play income for our existence. A few things your membership gift helps support are: ● Theater utilities and maintenance. ○ (Approximately $10,000.00 annually) ● Production fees, including royalties & scripts, music, costumes, sets, props, sound, stage lighting, and special effects. As an example, the approximate production costs for our 2019 Season were: ■ Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville $4,770 ■ The Wizard of Oz $11,721
The money raised also helps pay for our annual scholarship, our Youth Summer Theater Program and helps us provide affordable, live family entertainment.
As we look forward to our next season, we hope that you will consider a membership, and we would like your input as to how to best structure our membership fees.
