As you are aware, since the start of the pandemic, both Governor Cuomo and Governor Hochul have, through Executive Orders, waived various statutory physician supervision and collaboration requirements of various non-physicians. The stated purpose of the waiver of these requirements is to help address the staffing needs of hospitals in responding to the pandemic. MSSNY has raised through communications with many public officials its concerns that these waivers adversely impact quality patient care by removing skilled physician involvement in the delivery of care. We are asking physicians to take just a few minutes to respond to this survey to discuss their experiences.
