Description and Eligibility

Background:
The National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA) and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation are pleased to announce the 2020 Award for Excellence in Educational Access.
 
This Award will recognize excellence in the field of educational access in supporting underserved students on the path to and through college. In addition to recognition on NPEA’s website and social media sites, as well as a formal announcement at the conference, the winner of this year's 2020 Award for Excellence in Educational Access will receive a $5,000 monetary gift. We are grateful to the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation for generously sponsoring the 2020 Award for Excellence in Educational Access.
 
Conference and Award Details:
The winner of the NPEA/Cooke Foundation Award will be announced at the 2020 national conference in Boston. The conference, Reaching Out and Rising Up: Forging Ahead for Student Success, will be held on April 15-17, 2020 at the Royal Sonesta Boston Hotel in Cambridge, MA. For more information about the conference, please visit: www.educational-access.org/conference. Please note: Nominees are encouraged but are not required to attend the conference to be eligible for the award.
 
Eligibility:
  • Only current NPEA Organizational Members* in good standing are eligible for nomination.
  • Members can, and are encouraged to, nominate themselves. Please note: Individuals are not eligible to win this Award.
  • NPEA member must be able to demonstrate program/organizational impact, results, and student success.

IMPORTANT: Nominees may include NPEA Member Organizations/Programs, including Community Based-Organizations, Nonprofit Programs, and School-Based Programs. Please be sure to review all eligibility requirements prior to submitting a nomination. Please note: Individuals and schools are not eligible for this award.
