Description and Eligibility

Background:
The National Partnership for Educational Access (NPEA) and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation are pleased to announce the 2018 Award for Excellence in Educational Access.
 
This Award will recognize excellence in the field of educational access in supporting underserved students on the path to and through college. In addition to recognition on NPEA’s website and social media sites, as well as a formal announcement at the conference, the winner of this year's 2018 Award for Excellence in Educational Access will receive a $5,000 monetary gift. We are grateful to the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation for generously sponsoring the 2018 Award for Excellence in Educational Access.
 
Conference and Award Details:
The winner of the NPEA/Cooke Foundation Award will be announced at the 2018 national conference in New Orleans, LA. The conference, Standing Together in a Changing Landscape: A Call to Action, will be held on April 11-13, 2018 at the JW Marriott in downtown New Orleans. For more information about the conference, please visit: www.educational-access.org/conference. Early bird conference registration rates will be available until February 23, 2018. Please note: Nominees are encouraged but not required to attend the conference to be eligible for the award.
 
Eligibility:
  • Only current NPEA Members* in good standing are eligible for nomination.
  • Members can, and are encouraged to, nominate themselves. Please note: Individuals are not eligible to win this Award.
  • NPEA member must be able to demonstrate program/school impact, results, and student success.
