Thank you for taking this important survey

According to the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Facts and Figures, the diagnosis of breast cancer rates for black women are only second to that of white women so early detection is critical to a positive diagnosis.  Once diagnosed, black women have particular challenges as it relates to maintaining their appearance.  It seems harder to find Afro kinky or other wigs that look like natural hair through the regular resources available to cancer patients. We all want to look good; whether we are fighting cancer or not.  There should be more resources available for black women who have lost their hair.

The next series of questions will help me to gather data on your personal experience or the experiences of a friend or family member with the ultimate goal of making changes that will help black women get the "personal appearance" services that they need and want.

Thank you for taking the time to take this survey and please share with others!

With Gratitude,
