* 8. VOLUNTEER CHECKLIST FOR EVENT:
Rain or shine, except for severe weather, we are set for planting activities near a watercourse. Standard time commitment for the event is three hours, starting with orientation. Arrive at the site ten minutes early, if possible. Masking and 2m distancing are encouraged.

Preparation tips are below for you to check off.

list of things to bring--work gloves, face mask, water for hydration, snack, hand sanitizer, bug repellent, and sunscreen

list of things to wear--safety shoes, rubber boots or other sturdy footwear (no sandals or open toe shoes); long pants (no shorts) to protect against bugs and surrounding shrub); hat, jacket, and long-sleeved shirt for rain/sun protection

Tools such as a shovel will be supplied but bringing your own is preferred. Remember to ID it!

* 9. STUDENT COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS: SSSN Events are approved for students seeking community service hours. When filling out their form, please include full name, school, date, activity (tree planting) and number of hours you volunteered. Once filled out, send it to silvia@nottawasga.com or bring it to the event to be signed.
