1. Proposal Review Criteria

The National Network for Youth (NN4Y) is already planning our 2021 National Summit on Youth Homelessness on March 24th and 25th. We are currently dual planning for both a fully virtual or a hybrid (in-person and virtual options) event. Please have this in mind as you complete this Call for Proposal Form.
 
Breakout session proposals are reviewed by the NN4Y’s 2021 Summit Working Group. Organizations or individuals may submit up to three proposals each for consideration.
 
All proposal submissions are due by midnight on November 13, 2020.

Proposals are evaluated based on the following criteria:

Relevance to Specific Track
  1. Is the session relevant for the specific Track? There are three different tracks we are accepting session proposals for (Prevention - Cross-Systems Transformation, Advanced Practice, Nonprofit CEO). You must specify which track your session would fit within.       
  2. Does the session address any of the following topics: systems-change; racial equity; preventing all forms of youth homelessness;  the intersection of policy and practice; preparing for the next crisis (public health or natural/weather); identifying and overcoming the capacity and human resource challenges of RHY providers; innovative partnerships; or how to authentically partner with youth with lived experience.
Session Content
  1. Across all tracks: Does your session address the intersection of policy and practice? For example, how you are shaping the implimentation of policy at the state/local level in ways that implement good practice and how are you advocating for policy reform becuase current policy is not driving good practice.
  2. For each of the following tracks: 
  • PREVENTION - CROSS-SYSTEM TRANSFORMATION: Does the session deliver replicable information that other systems and/or communities can apply that has been demonstrated to prevent young people from experiencing homelessness? Is one of the presenters a system partner (such as child welfare, juvenile justice, or education)?
  • ADVANCED PRACTICE: Does the session deliver evidence-informed information relevant to youth homelessness professionals with more than 5 years of experience?  Is it replicable to other communities without needed to raise a significant amount of money? 
  • CEO NONPROFIT EXECUTIVE: Does the session deliver information relevant to CEOs of youth service provider agencies?
  1. Does the session impart information, tools, and strategies that can strengthen existing practice and advance learning on a given topic or area? Please share a link to any sources that you will be using as part of this session.
