Southern Dirt is launching a new Adaptive Rotational Grazing Demonstration Project in the Great Southern, focused on improving livestock performance, feed utilisation, and profitability per hectare using practical, data-driven grazing management.
The project will run over three grazing seasons (2026–2029) and will compare adaptive rotational grazing with continuous grazing in real commercial paddocks. The aim is to generate local, practical evidence on how better grazing management can lift carrying capacity, reduce supplementary feeding, and improve whole-farm resilience, without increasing inputs.
