Hardwick Agritourism Ecotourism Asset Descriptions: Public Comments

Project Purpose: Ecotourism and agritourism are both growing as viable methods of economic development for rural Towns that want to prioritize conserving open space and recreational assets. The Town of Hardwick seeks to take full advantage of the opportunities that exist to promote both types of tourism within the Town in a responsible way. In order to accomplish this, the Town is working in collaboration with the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) to create a comprehensive map of Town ecotourism and agritourism assets. Creating an online interactive version of this map (in StoryMap form), and physical printable version of the map will help to improve trail system wayfinding, and simultaneously connect tourists and residents with local tourism destinations as they utilize the Town's local trail system and explore the unique scenic and agricultural resources that Hardwick has to offer. Please feel free to provide us with your feedback on the asset descriptions that the Town of Hardwick, CMRPC and volunteers have come up with in the past year.
