Submission Format Requirements

  • Abstracts must be submitted as a PDF
  • 600-word limit
    • Word count excludes:
      • Title

      • Disclosures
  • One (1) chart or graph may be included
    • Will appear on the RAD website
    • Will not appear in the British Journal of Dermatology (BJD)

Content Requirements
Abstracts may include:
  • Scientific questions or challenges
  • Clinical observations
  • Primary research or scientific data
  • Encore presentations (previously presented data)

Title & Author Formatting
  • Include:
    • Full title
    • Author full names (first, last, middle initial if applicable)
    • Author institution (name, city, state/province, country)
  • Title should be bold, sentence case
  • Affiliations should use superscript numbering
  • Double-space the abstract

Disclosure Requirements
  • Full disclosures must appear:
    • In the abstract
    • On the poster
  • Presenting/first author must disclose for themselves and all co-authors for the prior 12 months
  • Disclosures should include:
    • Commercial entity names
    • Nature of the relationship (e.g., Consultant, Employee, Lecture fees, Grant support)
  • If none exist, indicate “None”

Poster Presentation Requirements
  • High-resolution PDF must be uploaded by Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM (ET) via the link provided in the acceptance email.
  • Poster may be formatted as:
    • A single 16×9 PowerPoint slide
  • Presenter must:
    • Agree to present at the scheduled session
    • Be present on site during the poster session
  • Posters will be accessible:
    • In-person in the poster hall
    • On the RAD website
AI-Generated Posters Prohibited:
  • Posters or presentations generated by ChatGPT or other AI tools will not be accepted.
Presentation Rules
  • Non-accredited posters (website only):
    • A non-author may present.
    • An industry employee may present.
Accredited posters or oral presentations:
  • A non-author may not present.
  • An industry employee may not present — must be presented by a non-industry author.

Policies & Restrictions
  • No QR codes allowed on posters
  • No brand names, trademarks, or logos
    • Only generic names permitted
  • Copyright remains with the authors

Previous or Ongoing Data
  • Encore and adapted presentations are permitted
    • Must provide:
      • Conference or publication name
      • Presentation/publication date
      • Venue
  • Trial-in-progress abstracts are allowed
  • Abstract describing study design only may be submitted
    • Results preferred if available
Embargo Policy
  • Encore presentations: No embargo
  • Primary data:
    • Data must not be publicly disclosed before conference presentation
    • Press releases allowed beforehand only if data are not included

Publication Details
  • All accepted abstracts will be published:
    • In the British Journal of Dermatology
    • On the RAD website

Costs & Fees
  • No abstract submission fee

Modifications After Submission
  • Abstracts may be edited after submission
  • Use the unique link provided in the acceptance notification email
