Organising a Rogaine usually includes a range of people doing different roles, however many rogainers want to eventually tick the box at having served in each capacity. Please tick whatever components you would like to see taught in an organising workshop. Note that there is common ground to many of these topics but getting a feel for what people want is very important. Course Setting Coordination (land & HH access, budgeting, determining & booking gear for hire) Vetting & Flag Hanging Mapmaking On the day running (setup, packup, schedule, etc) Safety & incident management Catering (whilst this is generally outsourced to a volunteer group, it is often done in house) Rundown of NSWRA Equipment, what we have, where it is kept, and how it is used. A full day classroom session with a couple of "core" workshops for everyone, such as course setting, with additional electives where you can choose what is most relevant. A morning or afternoon classroom session that is focussed on one or two main topics (probably course setting or mapping). This is the same format as the upcoming mapping workshop for this year's course setters. A full weekend, most likely in a more remote location in a similar style to the upcoming Nav Workshop, that covers all aspects of rogaining organisation, including time in the field for practice setting & vetting exercises.
