The Copy Writer will develop concepts and write consistent, compelling copy for brand marketing programs, campaigns and for products, across a variety of channels in our brand voice. 


• Establish, develop and maintain a style guide, outlining brand voice writing standards and elevating the quality of writing throughout the company
• Craft clear, concise, consistent and compelling consumer marketing copy as well as technical product copy that is on-brand and on-strategy
• Created copy for use on the website, in emails, brochures, advertorials, marketing materials and at retail
• Consistently offer innovative ways to evolve the above noted channels while keeping within the brand’s voice and tone
• Vary language and tone of messages based on product, medium, target audience and desired consumer behavior
• Brainstorm and develop naming conventions, product positioning and taglines for new products and write branding copy for brochures and other promotional materials that resonate with target consumers
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Design and other departments/stakeholders in making every piece effective, compelling, accurate and customer-centric
• Work on scheduled projects with the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice to meet business needs
• Remain current on industry trends and practices
• Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager


• Impeccable grammar and spelling and strong attention to detail
• Proficient in maintaining, adjusting and executing a brand voice across different channels and for different strategies
• Skilled in ideation and written and verbal communications
• Strong project and time management skills, while simultaneously managing multiple projects and high-volume tight timelines.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Motivation and ability to chime in with new ideas and new ways of working/thinking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign (for copy editing purposes)
• Has a portfolio of creative work with short- and long-form content from multiple changes (a link or pdf samples preferred)
• This is an in-office position, with the potential to work remotely during COVID-19


• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, journalism, English or related field
• 4-6 years proven copy writing experience in advertising, promotion, direct marketing, publishing or related field
• Background in retail and/or consumer goods industries a plus
