Library Hubs Meeting Community Needs Questionnaire

Libraries are open and welcoming places.  The Windsor Public Library (WPL), Essex County Library (ECL,) and Guelph Public Library (GPL,) are striving to meet community needs by working with people who are experiencing poverty and/or homelessness and the social services sector. What you share will impact the development of the LHMCN and be used to help others across the province. 

Goals
·         Create a new service within the library system

·         Train library staff to assist you in finding and connecting with services and service providers  

·         Improve access to social services and ensure you feel welcome in our library

·         Reduce stigma, stress and confusion about social services

·         Provide accurate information in the best and most respectful way possible

·         Have community partners in the library bringing service information and workshops to you

·         Create an electronic toolkit and service model that can be used by library systems across the province

 
Research
·         We value you and want you in the library

·         We want to hear from you to understand your needs and how we can best serve you

·         Focus groups, surveys, interviews, evaluations, and documenting all project information

·         Share all project information including research through a website

·         Research and project information will be presented at conferences and through other public and professional sharing
           opportunities
