the racial disproportionality of Covid-19 cases, their severity, and the death rates associated with the virus

protests & social unrest in our jurisdictions

community calls for the abolition of police or defunding of law enforcement

understanding racial disproportionality across various other criminal legal bodies (e.g. courts, prosecutor's offices, etc.)

methods of enforcement across non-legal government agencies (e.g. parks & recreation, transportation, libraries, etc.)

economic recovery from Covid-19-related shutdowns

budgetary constraints and challenges related to Covid-19 (incl. furloughs, layoffs, cuts in services, etc.)

how to utilize the moment for transformative change; policy changes that seemed impossible before, now seem possible
