United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and the New London County Food Policy Council are conducting a study to explore the feasibility of developing a New London County food hub that would help local growers and producers connect with more buyers and expand their wholesale business, with the goal of increasing farm revenue for producers, and expanding availability of local farm products for buyers in and around the county.
A new food hub would focus on vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, seafood and/or grains.
Your survey input is critical to (1) understanding current and potential production of farm products in New London County, and (2) identifying opportunities for the development of strategies and infrastructure that will better connect you to local wholesale channels.
This survey is intended to assess a broad range of products. We recognize that some questions may not be relevant to you based on the particular set of products you produce. Please answer only those relevant to you. This is only a survey and your responses are not binding in any way. All individual survey responses will be kept strictly confidential and responses will be reported in summary form, only for the purposes of this study.
If you have any questions, please contact Josh Stoffel at nlcfpc@gmail.com.
The survey has 26 questions and will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Optional questions can be skipped if needed. Thank you so much for your time and participation. All respondents will be entered into to win one of two $100 gift certificates!
Please forward the survey link to other producers who may be interested.
