The Overall Competition:
The World Technology Partners Competition encourages the support of under-graduate, graduate, doctoral students and post docs in research, teaching and other scholarly activities in Technology and/or the Sciences. Awards of $1,250 and mentoring opportunities will be awarded towards projects that relate to World Technology Partners global strategic efforts in the following regions: Africa, Asia/Pacific, Caribbean, Central America/Mexico, Eastern Europe, and South America. Up to six applicants will be selected for funding, mentoring and other visibility during 2026. Funding will be available January 2, 2026. Applications will be evaluated in terms of addressing topics of global significance as well as the articulation of clear and measurable goals with achievable outcomes. Priority will be given to projects that involve two or more of the following:
· Clear alignment with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
· Involvement of diverse or under-served geographic regions
Awarded funds (five honorariums at $1250 each) will defray costs associated with project expenses or travel for academic purposes including, but not limited to research collaboration, partnership development, study abroad program development, international collaboration on virtual/online course development or other scholarly activities. IP will be sheltered and protected.

We are specifically looking for submissions focusing on the following specific topics:
Information Technologies (ICT)
Life Sciences & Healthcare
Emerging Technologies: Electronics, Chemistry and Advanced Materials
Sustainable Technologies: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Food and Sustainability
A total of up to six applicants (three from the Western Hemisphere and three from the Eastern Hemisphere) will be selected based on scores from an independent selection committee consisting of academic and corporate entities. Applications will be evaluated in terms of addressing topics of global significance as well as the articulation of clear and measurable goals with achievable outcomes. Priority will be given to efforts that involve two or more of the following:
· clear alignment with one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
· involvement of diverse or under-served geographic regions
Awarded funds will defray costs associated with travel or academic purposes. Honorees will be selected by geographic region with the Americas, Europe and Africa group making their seven-minute presentations in late September.
A total of $7,500 in honorariums will be available. Honorees will be awarded stipends of $1250 for each individual selected and a physical award. IP will be sheltered and protected. Submissions can be either individual or team efforts.
