2026 Spring Coach/Team Interest Survey

Please complete this survey if you plan to head coach a Spring 2026 team.

Completion ensures your families can request your team easily during the registration process. If you are coaching more than 1 team, you must complete this survey separately for all teams!

1.) IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EXPECTED ROSTERS ARE PROVIDED TO ME, IF YOU ARE EXPECTING RETURNERS!

2.) Pool Players WILL be added to all teams who's roster is not complete. Pool Players will be placed PRIOR to any late registering returners, so encourage your players to register ON TIME. A full roster is 12-13 players depending on age division. If your team does not meet the requirements for a full team additional players can/will be added to the roster. This includes Majors teams. NKB is a league and if we have young players looking for roster placement and your team is not "full" by league standards we will place players for your league games. The goal of NKB is to have kids playing the game of baseball.

3.) There will be NO GROUP PAYMENTS. All players must register at the time of registration! As the league has grown, we have done away with group payment as an option.

4.) Please remind your expected returners to register early! Registration can and will close early if we reach capacity numbers.

5.) 7U and above teams who are electing to provide their own team uniforms. Please remind your families that they will need to make sure to use the correct registration that states "Team Supplied Uniforms". If any parents accidentally register under league providing uniforms, they will be refunded the price difference but typically those refunds are issued at the end of registration.

This survey is ONLY to be able to create teams for registration, another survey regarding practice fields, times, availability, etc, will be going out at a different date once we have additional information available regarding the season.

For Spring 2026 Coaches will have additional influence on their schedule creation through a scheduling meeting. Once that scheduling meeting is set, information will go out and it is mandatory that a head coach or assistant coach attend on behalf of the roster.

Registration is open for Tball-13U Divisions through a firm date of 2/15/26
Team Assignments - released by 3/9
Week of 3/23 - 3/26 Scheduling Meetings for Coaches to assist in creating their team's game schedule.
3/31 - Game schedules released to families and considered finalized
4/5 - Registration closes for 14-18U Divisions which have a later start date
4/13 - Games begin this week for 13U and younger divisions
4/18 - Opening Saturday of league games
4/27 - Rosters finalized and sent out for 14-18U age divisions
5/4 - Scheduling meeting for 14-18U Coaches to assist in creating their team's game schedule
5/22 - 5/25 - Memorial Day Weekend - No league games!
5/26 - Games begin for high school aged divisions
6/6 - Regular season ends for 7U-13U divisions
6/12 - 6/18 - End of Season Tournament for 7U-13U. Please note this could be pushed back if we experience rain!
6/20 - Regular season games end for Tball and 5U/6U Divisions
7/18 - Regular season games end for 14-18U divisions
7/23 - 7/26 - End of Season Tournament for 14-18U Divisions

*We will split the 9-12U age groups into Majors/Minors depending on total team counts per age group and the replies to the following questions. The league will have the final say in which division a team is assigned to.
9.Have the majority of your 9U-12U expected roster players played baseball previously?
10.Was your 9U-12U roster formed by a tryout or formed independently by coaches directly?
11.Will your 9U-12U team be playing in any tournaments or additional games OUTSIDE of the NKB regular season?
12.Is your 9U-12U team returning more than 8 players from a previous season? (Even if that season was played in a different league such as NKYA, Crosstown, SWOL, KCYS)
13.If given the option where would you place your 9U-12U team?
14.Will you need league provided uniforms and equipment?

ALL Tball-6U Teams will receive league uniforms and equipment! So please answer yes here if you are in those age divisions!

7U+ teams, coaches you have the option to provide your own uniforms for your team. We ask that you have a FULL or ALMOST full roster in order to select this option. You would also be responsible for your own equipment. (NOT including a pitching machine or game balls).
15.IMPORTANT UNIFORM INFO:

All league provided teams will receive a uniform shirt, pants, and hat. Tball-6U Receives NKB logo'ed shirts. 7U-8U receive shirts with Team Name across the chest and team letter on hats. 9U+ will receive fully sublimated and customized team jerseys. Coaches can also be involved in the design if they so wish - for example at a later date coaches 7U+ can provide numbers requested by players

Each team will receive 3 coach shirts. There will be no additional coaches shirt orders after player registration closes; that day the remaining coach shirts on the team will be ordered as Adult XL.

Color choices will be first-come, first served based on the time this survey is completed. We will do our best to offer you your choices, but may need to make changes depending on availability. Just because your team has previously worn a certain color, does not guarantee your shirt color for the season!

17.Roster Names. If you already know of players who will be playing with you, please list their names below. I cannot know if you are expecting a certain player without having a list of names.
