Please submit your nominations by COB 31 October 2017

From its inception, Q Shelter relied on the passion and dedication of its small membership to build an organisation dedicated to ending homelessness in Queensland.
Deirdre Coghlan was one of these early members and a pioneer of the community sector in Queensland.
As a fierce advocate for our sector and sole life member of Q Shelter, she firmly believed that housing was a human right.

This is why Q Shelter is proud to launch a scholarship in her memory.
This bursary will provide $5,000 toward professional development opportunities for staff members across Queensland's housing and homelessness sector.

Criteria for nomination includes:
  • Demonstration of passion and commitment to the housing and homelessness sector
  • Proven dedication to their local community
  • Limited opportunities for training and professional development
  • Likely to make an ongoing contribution to the sector through receipt of this Bursary
Nominations close COB 31 October 2017 and the first recipients will be advised in December at Q Shelter's Annual General Meeting.
