Speers Point Park Master Plan survey

Following extensive feedback received during the initial consultation period in November and December 2025, we have developed Concept Plan Options for the Speers Point Park project area.

These Concept Plan Options have been developed to explore and test potential changes to the area, while respecting the park’s role as both a valued local open space for nearby residents and a regional destination for play, sport and major events.

There are three options, each proposing a greater level of change to the area.

· Option A proposes minor changes, with key changes including some additional parking, a new small dog park and a new recreation space for older children through to young adults.

· Option B proposes further additional parking, as well as some reallocation of space to increase general park green areas and create some greater definition and access around different buildings and spaces, as well as to the foreshore (e.g. boardwalk).

· Option C proposes a range of further improvements increasing activation of the park through a range of places to visit (e.g. eateries), things to do (e.g. hire equipment, inflatable water park) and see (e.g. boardwalks and interpretive information).

The aim of this consultation is to understand community preferences across these options, with the final Master Plan likely to include elements of each rather than being a choice between any single option.

The full Master Plan and Plan of Management will be publicly exhibited before being adopted by Council for implementation.

Your input is greatly appreciated and will be used to help shape the short and long-term planning for this important precinct, as shown in outline below.
