Non-Instructional Days

Each year, teachers participate in six non-instructional days. Students are not in school on these days. Three of the six days are determined by our local teachers' union and have historically been held on a Friday in October, February and May. These dates are not finalized until their Spring Annual General Meetings, so they are subject to change in these proposed calendars.

The remaining three non-instructional days are set by the school district and have historically been held on a Monday. The reason for having these days on a Monday or Friday was because they are the least disruptive to student learning, and it provides consistency for families.
