The National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL), the Office on Violence Against Women, and AEquitas are pleased to announce the

National Institute on the Prosecution of Elder Abuse (NIPEA)
February 14 - 16, 2023
This program is pending final approval by the Office on Violence Against Women. Do not book travel or contact the hotel until you are informed by NCALL that you may do so. OVW approval of this event is expected in early January.

Due to limited space, attendance is limited to prosecutors only. The Institute itself is free of charge. It is open to prosecutors from all jurisdictions, however, priority will be given to OVW Abuse in Later Life grantees. Space is limited and applicants are encouraged to apply early. Applicants will be informed of acceptance by email.

Participants will be issued a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of this training. Participants are responsible for reporting their CLE credits consistent with their state requirements. Please check with your state bar association in reference to application requirements and related fees. Attendance at this event may qualify participants for up to nineteen (19) continuing legal education (CLE) credit hours including at least one (1) hour of ethics credit.

The training will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Room block information will be provided once the event is confirmed and you are notified by NCALL.

Participants are responsible for making and paying for their own travel and lodging arrangements. Room block information will be provided once you are notified by NCALL that the event is confirmed.

In some OVW Abuse in Later Life grant communities, OVW grant funds may be used to cover the cost of transportation and accommodations related to your attendance. Please contact your OVW grant administrator for additional information.

A limited number of scholarships related to travel and accommodations may be available for non-OVW Abuse in Later Life grantees upon request. OVW Abuse in Later Life grantees are not eligible for scholarships for this training because costs for attending this event are included in the award.

The maximum scholarship award per person is $500. Scholarship funds will be awarded in the form of a reimbursement check for allowable costs and will be dispersed upon completion of this training. Scholarship funds will not be disbursed to participants who do not attend the full training.
