After several years away, Olympia’s beloved Jinglebell Parade is finally returning — and The Olympia Downtown Alliance couldn’t be more excited to welcome back the magic, music, and community spirit that made it a cherished local tradition!

Join us on Sunday, November 29th as we bring the holiday season to life in the heart of downtown Olympia. Think festive floats, twinkling lights, marching bands, local talent, and maybe a visit from Santa! Here are the details:
  • 🎁 Parade staging begins at 12:00 PM - staging area to be announced
  • ❄️ All participants will be fully staged and lined up by 1:45 PM
  • 🕯️The parade kicks off at 2:00 PM
  • ⛄The parade route will travel WEST from Cherry St, headed toward Sylvester Park
  • 🎄Post parade tree lighting ceremony at Sylvester Park to cap off the days events!

  • Order: Ensuring the correct order in the parade is important for the commentary team who will be announcing each parade entry as it moves along the parade route.
  • Spacing: Maintain a 4-5 car length following distance (approximately 50 feet) from the unit in front of you.
  • Forward motion only. Stopping or reverse motion is not allowed.
  • No materials may be thrown along the parade route. (please do not throw candy)
  • Politics: The parade is a celebration of community and creativity. To maintain a fun and inclusive atmosphere, we kindly ask that entries not feature political messaging or advertising or campaign materials.
  • Santa: The Olympia Downtown Alliance has secured a Santa for the parade. As to not spoil the fun, we ask that no other Santas participate.
  • Animals: All parade entries that include animals must provide a designated individual responsible for immediate waste cleanup along the parade route. In the event that an animal displays unsafe or disruptive behavior, parade officials reserve the right to require the immediate removal of the animal and its handler from the event premises.
  • The Olympia Downtown Alliance reserve the right to remove any entrant from the parade either prior to assembly, while assembling or any time during the parade.
