Working in collaboration with the NH Restorative Practices Advisory Team, Jon Kidde and Marc Wennberg have developed a series of trainings to build and strengthen key skills in restorative justice.
At present we are offering the following workshops:
  • Restorative Approaches with Harmed Parties: Participants in this training will delve into understanding harm and needs of people impacted by crime; they will explore and develop strategies for harmed party engagement in Diversion services. The training will include action planning around communication, supporting harmed parties and their choices, and tracking outcomes related to victim satisfaction with restorative justice approaches. (Attendance is capped at 30)
  • Restorative Circle Process Keeping: Participants will experience and explore the formal structure of the restorative circle process; practice designing and co-keeping a dialogue (community-building) circle; and support the collective learning of the group. This is a 2-Day Training and attendance is required for both days. (Attendance is capped at 20)
We will be offering each training at two different locations: Canaan and Dover. We will also be adding additional skills trainings in the near future, including Restorative Panel Facilitation.
