PEI CAB Application (Santa Clara County) III

Thank you for your interest in the Perinatal Equity Initiative Community Advisory Board (PEI CAB) of Santa Clara County!

The California Perinatal Equity Initiative was established in 2018 to reduce racial disparities in birth outcomes. To learn more about our regional PEI campaign and other ways to join the effort, visit us at deliverbirthjustice.org

Our CAB's vision is...

...Black birthing people guaranteed birth equity and justice

...a future that respects, protects, and promotes Black birthing people's rights to be safe and heard

...a future where fear-based birthing practices and experiences are a thing of the past

...an environment that fosters the maternal agency of Black birthing persons

...a community where Black birthing persons and babies live long and fulfilling lives now and in the future

..a future in which healthcare providers and institutions are transparent, accountable, and proactive in prioritizing positive outcomes for Black birthing people

...a future in which the community acknowledges that racism, not race, is at the root of the Black maternal health crisis.
