How to Apply

Learner-led applications are being invited from in-progress Reading Schools to support their plans to embed a culture of reading for pleasure across the school.

Eligibility: Open to state funded schools and grant-aided specialist provisions across Scotland that are currently working on their Reading Schools accreditation through an approved Action Plan, who have not received funding from Reading Schools in 2022 or 2023.
Purpose: Purchase of books & reading materials, and/or furnishings for reading spaces
Maximum available per school: £500
This fund aims to allocate awards to 40 successful applications.

This form is comprised of three sections. The sections are:

1. Key information about your school
2. Upload/link the funding submission from your Reading Leadership Group (pupil-led)
3. Supporting information to be completed by the Key Contact on anticipated use of funds
Note: your application will not be considered for funding until "Done" is selected after the third section. You can edit your responses before 1 November 2024 or up until you confirm "Done" to submit the application.
