National Health Center Immigration Workgroup |
CPCA, along with Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) and the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), co-lead the National Health Center Immigration Workgroup which aims to help align the health center voice nationally around immigration issues. We receive tremendous support from Colleen Meiman, National Policy Advisor for State Associations of Community Health Centers, and encourage all PCAs to join.
Goals of the National Health Center Immigration Workgroup:
- Provide education for community health centers and PCAs about policy changes impacting immigrant patients, including strategies and tactics for responding.
- Strengthen, align, and coordinate advocacy efforts in support of immigrant patients, and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Provide a collective, safe space for resource and information sharing to support CHCs and PCAs in responding to the changing immigration policy landscape, and inform advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels.
