Submit your application by 22 May 2025

The Next Generation Sanitation Systems (NGSS) Project is an initiative shaping the future of sanitation solutions led by the International Water Association (IWA) and the Gates Foundation (GF) Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WSH) programme.

The project aims to develop NGSS that are cost-competitive, robust, and scalable, with the goal of contributing to compliance with ISO 30500, recognised as a primary guiding standard for integrated sanitation systems in North America, Europe, and beyond, by 2026. While ISO 30500 serves as a key benchmark, the project will also consider alignment with other relevant or more stringent national or international standards.

We invite you to submit applications representing your technology solutions, which may be fully integrated systems that treat all household wastewater (including both blackwater and greywater) or sub-systems that contribute to such integrated solutions.

If you have any questions about the application or the project, please contact Elena Fernandez-Miranda, IWA NGSS Project Manager, at Elena@iwahq.org
