1. Introduction to the Public Consultation for GSTC Accreditation Manual v.4.0.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council is currently revising its Accreditation Manual, to update it from version 3.1 to version 4.0. As part of this process, we invite you to participate in a public consultation to provide your comments and feedback on the draft of the Accreditation Manual v.4.0.
Main revisions have been made to the following areas:
1. Risk Factors: Risk factors and levels have been replaced or clarified, and Certification Bodies' responsibility has been emphasized.
2. Remote Audit: We suggest wider usage of remote audit approaches based on risk assessment and previous audit results.
3. Auditor Qualification: We have improved the qualification requirements to ensure better qualified GSTC auditors.
