Save the date for the Chamber's Annual Awards on April 13!  The event, Celebrating Our Covid-19 Heroes, will be held virtually this year.  This celebration will honor businesses, organizations, and individuals who have contributed to making Elkins-Randolph County a Vibrant Community during 2020.  In addition to the annual awards the Chamber normally presents, a special category to honor Our Covid-19 Heroes is included.
 
When making your nominations, please keep a few things in mind.  We ask that survey participants complete the survey only one time.  When nominating a business, individual, or organization, you MUST complete the justification section explaining WHY? you feel this business, individual, or organization deserves this nomination.  Your responses should include details about the nominee's contributions to our community specific to 2020.

The Chamber reserves the right to present any or all of the award categories listed below.  The number of special 2020 Covid-19 Hero awards will be determined based on survey results.

* 1. NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR AWARD
Congratulations again to last year's Non-Profit of the Year, the Snowshoe Foundation!  This award may be presented to a Randolph County non-profit organization that, in pursuit of its mission, has shown significant contributions to the community during 2020.

* 2. YOUNG LEADER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Congratulations again to last year's Young Leader of the Year, Madalyn Humphrey of Elkins Main Street!  This award may be presented to an outstanding leader in the community, under the age of 40, who has made significant strides to improve Randolph County during 2020 with his/her talents, progressive thinking, and volunteer efforts in the community.

* 3. NEW BUSINESS/ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR AWARD
This is a new category for Chamber Annual Awards.  This award may be presented to a Randolph County business that just started in 2019 or 2020.  The business may or may not be a member of the Chamber.  Nominees should be a business or entrepreneur that has shown innovation, fortitude, and a commitment to building a vibrant community.

* 4. BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to last year's Business of the Year, Mountain Gymnastics Academy! This award may be presented to a business which is a member in good standing of the Elkins - Randolph County Chamber and is actively involved in the community by having high standards - including innovative progress, customer service, ethics, and a positive image particularly noteworthy in 2020.

* 5. BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to last year's Business Woman of the Year, Lori Chenoweth of LMC & Associates, and last year's Business Man of the Year, Kenny George of Allegheny Insurance.  This year, one award may be presented to a Chamber member (male or female) who is a business owner or executive.  This Chamber member should stand out in the community as a person with high standards - including innovative progress, customer service, ethics, and a positive image particularly noteworthy in 2020.

* 6. CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD
Congratulations to last year's Citizens of the Year, Patricia Mayes & Dave Cutlip!  This award may be presented to a Randolph County resident(s) who has served the community through acts of heroism, humanitarianism, charity, or other "outstanding service" particularly in 2020.

* 7. TOM WILLIAMS AWARD OF DISTINCTION
Congratulations to last year's Tom Williams Award of Distinction recipient, Dick Harvey of Mountain Valley Bank!  This award is presented to an exemplary individual who has made significant civic, charitable, and community contributions and/or volunteered numerous hours to enhance the quality of life for people in Randolph County.

* 8. COVID-19 HEROES
There is no doubt that 2020 was a year like no other!  For that reason, the Chamber wishes to celebrate 2020 Covid-19 Heroes.  These awards may be presented to individuals, organizations, businesses, community groups, or government agencies that helped the residents of Randolph County survive, and even thrive, during 2020.  Make your nomination below.  If you would like to make more than one nomination for this category, you may do so in the third box.
