Placement questionnaire for racialized women (2S and trans women inclusive) who have experienced gender-based violence at work

1.Are you currently living, or have previously lived, in one of the following provinces or territories: Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, the Yukon?(Required.)
2.Do you identify as migrant, Black, Indigenous, or person of colour?(Required.)
3.Informal or precarious work can involve any of the following:

- informal or no employment contract

- limited or no work benefits (e.g., health insurance, paid sick days, statutory holiday pay)

- job insecurity (e.g., the fear or uncertainty about losing your job)

- temporary or contract position

- low earnings and/or wages (including unpaid over-time)

- poor working conditions

- high risks of poor health.

Are any of the situations mentioned above similar to your current or recent employment experience?(Required.)
4.Have you experienced violence or exploitation in your current or recent employment (this can include long working hours, non-payment of wages or overtime, physical, emotional or sexual violence or harassment, threats and intimidation by employer)?(Required.)

If you consent to voluntarily participate in this research, you may be selected to participate in a one-on-one interview. Interviews will take between 45-60 minutes and will be conducted over Zoom. If you are selected and complete the interview, or withdraw in the middle, you will receive $80 payable by e-transfer, personal cheque, PayPal, or as a gift card. Interviews will take place between November 2024 and March 2025. They will be audio-recorded and transcribed. Scheduling will be flexible so as to accommodate your work obligations. Interviews may take place in any location; we simply ask that you find a quiet space with a stable internet connection.
Our researchers will sort the responses to identify ideal candidates. Please note that, due to time and labour constraints, not everyone who completes the placement questionnaire will be selected to participate in an interview.
