Compliance with Local Business Recycling Requirements

En español | Clackamas County, Metro and local cities adopted Business Recycling Requirements to increase business recycling in our region. It requires businesses and organizations to recycle, and educate staff on what is accepted. 

Clackamas County Sustainability & Solid Waste provides resources at no cost to help your business or organization meet requirements such as recycling  boxes, posters and hands-on assistance. After filling out this survey, request free materials from the resource request form to help your business be in compliance.

3.Does your business or property have garbage and recycling services set up with your franchised collector?(Required.)
4.Does your business or property have internal recycling containers paired with garbage cans in areas where recyclables are generated?(Required.)
5.Does your business educate staff at least annually on what can be recycled (cardboard, mixed paper, plastic bottles, tubs and buckets, and metal? If not, download and distribute the Recycle Guide to staff. (Required.)
6.Does your business have signs posted educating staff about what can be recycled?(Required.)
7.Does your business practice at least one action that reduces waste? Please explain. (Required.)
