Destination Southern NSW is in the process of developing a Southern New South Wales Regional Event Support Program to assist existing and new tourism events impacted by the severe bushfire events of Summer 2019/2020 within the Eurobodalla, Bega Valley/Sapphire Coast, Snowy Monaro and Queanbeyan-Palerang regions.

The purpose of the following survey is to develop greater synergies between events and the wider tourism industry with a long-term vision to increasing visitor length of stay, overnight visitor expenditure and visitor dispersal throughout the Destination Southern NSW Region.

DSNSW is one of six Destination Networks formed through Destination NSW (DNSW).

The DSNSW zone encompasses eight local government areas being; Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, Snowy Monaro, Queanbeyan-Palerang, Yass Valley, Goulburn Mulwaree, Upper Lachlan and Hilltops.

The role of DSNSW is to coordinate tourism-related strategies and projects that will promote and achieve growth and prominence of the visitor economy in line with the objectives, strategies and commitments of the NSW Government. This will be achieved in partnership with DNSW, local government councils, other State and Australian Government agencies; industry and business associations; and tourism and allied business operators throughout the DSNSW Region.

The survey takes about 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
