DEA EIA SECTOR SEMINARS (September 2018 - March 2019) - SUBMIT YOUR QUERIES
Do you have a Comment or Question for DEA, a particular provincial CA, DWS, DMR, and/or EAPASA?
The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) will be holding a series of interactive workshops around the country to which stakeholders, including EAPs, NGOs, Industry and Organs of State, are invited. The purpose is to improve working relations with DEA and to improve the implementation of the 2014 EIA Regulations and Listing Notices. The first workshop is scheduled for 20 September 2018 in Port Elizabeth and the last will take place some time in March 2019 in Pretoria.
Details of these workshops may be found in DEA's invitation and the "Interest to attend seminar" form. The form should be completed and emailed directly to Mr. Franz Scheepers (fscheepers@environment.gov.za)
DEA, will at some of the workshops, be joined by the provincial environmental authority, the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS), and/or the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR). EAPASA, the EAP registration authority will also be presenting on it registration process and requirements.
IAIAsa written submission: IAIAsa will be attending the workshops and proposes to submit a written list of queries to DEA prior to the events on behalf of its members.
If you have a comment or question for DEA, a particular provincial environmental authority, DWS, DMR and/or EAPASA you would like included in the IAIAsa submission, please complete the survey by 12 September 2018 in order for us to make the first submission before the first workshop on 20 September 2018. If you have further questions between September 2018 and March 2019 we will leave the survey open and collect questions a week ahead of each workshop for submission until March next year.
