About nextSTARTUP
The nextSTARTUP program is an intensive,6 week program that combines classroom training and one on one coaching to help startups develop viable business models. This program moves founders from idea to launch by teaching them fundamental business startup principles. nextSTARTUP will cover business model development, MVP development, branding, marketing, leadership and management, entity creation, monetization strategies, and financial management.
By the end of the program, each participant will have completed:
• A viable business and financial model
• A launch strategy along with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• A three minute pitch that can be used in pitch competitions, to apply for accelerators, and for speaking with investors.
The program Includes:
• 6 hours (3 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays) per week of classroom instruction for 6 weeks
• Peersonalized one-on-one consulting sessions with CUL business coaches
• Networking with other program participants and alumni
• Eligibility for up $10K in micro finance assistance with CIBC (formerly The Private Bank)
• Matchmaking assistance to find appropriate funding sources and secure financing for launching your venture.
Ideal candidates will:
1) Have recently launched their venture, or have an existing side hustle they’d like to turn into a venture.
2) Have experience in their venture’s industry
3) Be available for class on Monday and Wednesday nights and for weekly coaching sessions.
