PBS Nightly Business Report

Question Title

* 1. Unfortunately, we recently received word from PBS that the NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT on Maine Public Television, which airs at 6:30 each weekday evening, is going to be discontinued at the end of this year.

While PBS is looking for a replacement, it does not have a comparable replacement at this time. We would like to know your preferences on how to adjust our weekday evening programming schedule if we are NOT able to replace the Nightly Business Report.

Please choose between Option 1 and Option 2 as to which solution you’d prefer. Thanks for taking the time to participate!

CURRENT SCHEDULE

4:30PM – AMANPOUR ON PBS
5:30PM – DW NEWS (DEUTSCHE WELLE)
6:00PM – BBC WORLD NEWS
6:30PM – NIGHTLY BUSINESS REPORT
7:00PM – PBS NEWSHOUR

OPTION 1 – move the programs on before the Nightly Business Report a half hour later.

5:00PM – AMANPOUR ON PBS
6:00PM – DW NEWS (DEUTSCHE WELLE)
6:30PM – BBC WORLD NEWS
7:00PM – PBS NEWSHOUR

OPTION 2 – broadcast the earlier feed of PBS Newshour at 6pm, AND keep the existing 7pm Newshour broadcast. The other programs would move a half hour earlier. Note; other than possible updates, the 6pm and 7pm feed of Newshour would be essential the same.
