Hazard Mitigation Planning is an important facet for any town and a mandatory requirement of FEMA before any FEMA funding can be awarded to the town. By developing an approved plan, the town can earn a greater percentage of state funding during recovery from a disaster and be better prepared to handle a future crisis.
