New England Rail Trail

The New England Rail Trail is to be developed on the disused railway corridor between Armidale and Glen Innes – a distance of some 102 kilometres. 

Glen Innes Severn Council have have been fully funded through the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund for the Glen Innes to Ben Lomond Section and Armidale Regional Council have an application for funding pending through the Building Better Regions Fund.

Community consultation has been previously sought however we are seeking further information as to the communities support for the project.
