The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES), and its lead consultant, CPCS Transcom, are undertaking a hazardous materials commodity flow study. This study seeks to understand two things:
  1. What hazardous materials are traveling into, out of, and through communities across the State, and
  2. The risks associated with these materials.
The ultimate goal of the study is to provide emergency responders with information to prepare for potential accidents and assist vulnerable communities accordingly.

As part of this study, CPCS is conducting online surveys to learn more about how different groups of hazardous material producers, consumers, and carriers use North Dakota's transportation system. We are also seeking feedback from local government agencies.

This survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Your participation will help ensure that the voices of industry and local government are heard, and that the study accurately represents the needs and operations of your business or agency. No personally identifiable information will be collected by CPCS or provided to any government agency. All responses will be kept confidential, and all questions are optional.

If you have any questions or feedback about this survey, please contact:
