Parent Survey

At St. Jérôme School we will offer a wide range of after-school clubs for children for an hour each day after school as part of the our enriched school curriculum.

We also want to go further to support working parents and so, as soon as there is enough demand, we will also provide a breakfast club and after-school care for children.

It would really help our planning to know how likely you are to make use of these activities for your child or children.

Question Title

* 1. St. Jérôme School will run a range of activities after school for one hour each day. These will be educational activities designed to support children's learning. Most activities will be free for children to join. There will only be a charge if the school needs to employ a specialist to run the activity, such as individual music lessons - but cost should not be a barrier to participation, so if your child is entitled to free school meals please let us know as support may be available.

If your child joins us at St. Jérôme School, how likely would they be to take up these activities for an hour after school:

My child will not really be interested It depends on the activity but I expect my child will attend once each week My child will be very interested and may attend more than once each week
French-language activities (e.g. science club, delivered in French)

Creative activities (e.g. music lessons, school choir, art club)
Community activities (e.g. working with the local church to support the food bank)

* 2. St. Jérôme School will support working parents by providing a breakfast club if there is enough demand. Children who are enrolled in the breakfast club can be dropped off at school any time from 7.45am. They will be given a nutritious breakfast and a chance to play with their friends before school starts.

The breakfast club will be modelled on the successful provision at our partner school, Holy Trinity School, Northwood. The cost at Holy Trinity is £5 per morning and, subject to exact numbers, it is likely to be the same at St. Jérôme School. Children can be enrolled for between one and five mornings each week. Payment will be on-line and in advance, and the school asks for half a term's notice of any change. Subject to availability, emergency and short-notice cover will be available at the same price.
