Who we are: ACYP stands for the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People. It includes a team of people who aim to make NSW a better place for children and young people.

ACYP's job is to listen to children and young people in NSW and promote their views to decision-makers. Find out more at acyp.nsw.gov.au.

What is this survey about: This survey seeks to help us understand:
  • How you use technology at school/work and at home.
  • What your understanding of online safety is
  • What are the issues that affect you in the online world including social media and who do you go to for help.
  • It is used to collect information from young people aged 14 – 21 years living in NSW.
What we do with your answers: Our team reads every response that comes through and summarises the results. We will present this to the NSW Department of Education to help guide their work about online safety habits and how we can better support children and young people.

We may also share the results to the general public so they can hear from you too. You won't be identified in any report as this survey is anonymous.
