As the Lead Agency for Global Youth Service Day 2010 (April 23-25) in Iowa, the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service (ICVS) will utilize their $2,000 GYSD Lead Agency Grant to award 10 $200 mini grants to organizations that are planning local GYSD projects.

*Important Reminders:

GYSD mini grant applications are due March 25, 2010

Grant recipients will be announced March 31, 2010

GYSD projects supported by ICVS mini grants must be posted on Volunteer Solutions by April 12, 2010

Only one mini grant application per organization/program will be accepted

Mini grant applications must be written primarily by Youth Representatives (ages 5-25) of the applying organization

The ICVS expects more mini grant applications to be submitted than funds are available to support. Therefore, applications will be reviewed by GYSD committee and staff members and members of the ICVS.

Organizations that are awarded mini grants for GYSD 2010 will be required to submit a project invoice and report, along with itemized receipts, to the ICVS prior to reimbursement.
