Introduction:

In the past, the Native Council of PEI (NCPEI) offered addiction services to its members through the National Native Alcohol Drug Abuse Program (NNADAP).  In 2015, Health Canada withdrew the program funding so the NCPEI’s services were discontinued.  In an effort to re-establish the services, as well as expand to offering mental health supports, the NCPEI is submitting a proposal to Health Canada for program funding.  As part of the proposal writing process, we are collecting information from members on the addiction services and mental health support needs of the community.  This information will be used to guide the proposal writing process and ensure any funding received is focused on the “true” needs of the community.
