The 40-hour training is an intense and rigorous professional development course that includes introductory coursework, homework, class exercises and sharing your recovery story. Acceptance is competitive, and includes an application and interview process. Only those who are well-grounded in their recovery and committed to excelling as a Peer Support Specialist should apply.
