KeNOG is running a Virtual BGP Bootcamp from the 29th of April to the 5th of May focusing on BGP Basics. The course is aimed at novice to intermediate level engineers interested in building their skills in BGP fundamentals and will help form a basis for future BGP trainings. The courses will lean more on lab work and exercises. Upon completion. learners will be awarded with verifiable Certificates of Paricipation.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, learners should be able to
- Understand what BGP is
- Configure BGP sessions on IPv4 and IPv6
- Understand why BGP is important for the Internet
- Configure Internal and External BGP sessions
- Understand what BGP is

Trainee Requirements:
- Use a PC/Laptop with a modern browser (small screens are not recommended)
- Have basic understanding of networking and how to enter commands on command line.
- Dedicate at most two hours a day over the one week period.
- Complete a mandatory anonymous survey after the course.
